Karol is a member of the Polish Wrestling Federation, where he has been the Head Chief of Referees for 12 years. He is also a UWW Referee (IS category). He has been an international referee since 1994. He has refereed 18 World Championships and 14 European Championships.
He has also refereed the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio, the Baku 2015 European Games and the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan.
He holds a Master of Physical Education. He is also Principal in an Elementary School.
