
Levent Sen
Referee Educator – Europe
Levent Sen has been involved with wrestling his entire life. He represents a third generation wrestling family where his father and grandfather both won medals at previous Olympic Games, World Championships and Continental Championships. Levent is originally from Bulgaria and emigrated to Turkey at the age of 15. He took his first referee course in 1994. In 1999, he became a national referee in Turkey. In 2005, he became a licensed UWW Referee. In 2013, he was upgraded to the IS category.
Levent has over 30 years of experience as a referee. He has refereed at 8 World Championships, 11 Continental Championships, and 3 Olympic Games (Rio de Janeiro, Tokyo, and Paris). He also won the Gold Whistle at the World Championships in 2018. Levent is now the President of the UWW Referee Commission.
