Clarissa won a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic in London. She was a also a world champion 2008 and has won 20 gold, 14 silver and 10 bronze medals at international competition during her wrestling 22-year career.
She has been a United World Wrestling Educator since 2016 and served as an Athlete Role Model for the International Olympic Committee during the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires. Clarissa began her national coaching career in 2014 as an assistant coach for USA Wrestling. In 2021, she was selected as the first head coach of the University of Iowa Women’s Team.
Clarissa holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
