He is the Vice-President of the Georgian National Federation and a Full Professor at the Georgian State University of Physical Education and Sport.
He was awarded Best Referee of Georgia every year from 2004 to 2016.
He was an international referee from 1988 to 2016. He would officiate at all Senior (and sometimes the other categories) European and World Championships in all styles.
Two-time Georgian champion and a two-time Soviet Union Cup holder.
As an educator, he is a UWW instructor and supervisor.
