Petar has 40 years of experience as a coach and referee. He started coaching in 1975 and has worked in Cuba (1976), in France (1992-93) and in Bulgaria. Several of the athletes he coached became European and World champions.
He joined UWW in 1983 and became an international referee in 2013. He has officiated at more than 60 European and World Championships as well as two Olympic Games.
He is currently the coach for Bulgaria’s junior national Greco-Roman wrestling team.
He studied at the National Sport Academy Vassil Lebski (1971-1975).
